We now have confirmed dates for the Fix KC clinics. These clinics are a service of NMHP in KC.  The dates are:

At this time, clinics are for cats and kittens only. (We hope to be able to do dogs soon.) We are targeting feral cat caretakers and low income cat owners. The $15.00 price includes neuter or spay, FVRCP (distemper combination vaccination) and a rabies shot for those cats that are at least 4 months old.  Additional services such as worming are available for an additional price. 

Call 816-333-PETS and leave a message to schedule an appointment. A volunteer will be returning calls.
Feral caretakers should select option 3.
Low income pet owners should selct option 2. 

Clinics are held at the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City in their vet clinic.

• The Pet Connection has traps to rent at an extremely low rate.  They also offer low cost spay/neuter services.   Their number is 913-671-7387 and they are located at the Mission Mall.

• PAWS, Inc. at 816-252-2680, Box 16664, Raytown, MO  64133.  They offer certificates for low cost spay/neuter and vaccinations from designated veterinarians.  

• STOPP Animal Clinic on 63rd Street in Raytown at 816-313-7729

• The Low Cost Spay Neuter Clinic, 311 E. Martha Truman Rd, Kansas City, MO 64137 (located behind WaySide Waif's) 816-765-5401.

PAR (People for Animal Rights) will be subsidizing spays/neuters at the Low Cost Spay/Neuter Service in KCMO from February 24th through March 31st, 2004 (or until the funds run out).

So if you have family, friends, contacts, etc. that have not had their companion animals spayed or neutered, now is the time!  Have them contact the Low Cost Spay/Neuter service at 816-765-5401 & request a $20 spay/neuter when they make their appointment.  PAR is subsidizing the cost of the general public spay/neuter rate over $20.

PAR & Low Cost Spay/Neuter are also conducting a fund-raising raffle.  Tickets are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5.  First prize is a Thermos Grill (value $125).  Second prize is a Retractable Safety Leash with a built-in flashlight & radio.  3rd prize is a Magnetic Force Flashlight which never needs batteries - ever!  It runs on magnets!  The drawing will be at the PAR meeting on May 1st.  You do NOT need to be present to win. 

If you would like to assist with donations, you can mail them to PAR, PO Box 8707, KCMO 64114.  Please write SPAY DAY on your envelope/check.  Checks can be made out to PAR.  Both groups are 501c3 non-profits so your donations are tax-deductible & will assist us to spay/neuter more animals.
