Mumford’s Heater

The Missus got a new electric heater for the house because the old one was misbehaving. This new heater cost a lot but it seems to be doing a very good job. The first part of that last sentence is me talking and the last part is Mumford. Mumford likes the new heater. “Thank you Mom!”

Mom turned the heater on and Mumford came. It was that simple.

In the movie, Field of Dreams, an Iowa corn farmer hears a voice telling him: “If you build it, he will come.” He cleared a portion of his corn field, built a baseball field and “he” came.

John 12:32
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

We had to do something before Mumford could find the warmth she needed. The corn farmer had to do something before the “he” showed up. We have to lift Jesus up before He can draw others to Him.

Sometimes we are the ones standing in the way and God is waiting on us to do something before He can do His part.

What are you doing for Him?

If you build it, He will come.
