Surviving Pet Care Program

Have you worried who will take care of your pets after you are gone or no longer able to care for them? If you enroll them in WarmFuzzy’s Surviving Pet Care program, you will have peace of mind knowing that if something happens to you, we will take in your pets, care for them, provide any medical care needed and give them love and kisses every day.

WarmFuzzy’s does not require an annual contribution for the Surviving Pet Care program but a commitment to the pet and his/her needs is dependent as designation WarmFuzzy’s as a beneficiary of one of the following planned giving ways:

  • Gifts through your Will or Living Trust.
  • Naming WarmFuzzy’s as the beneficiary of all or a portion of your life insurance policy, annuity, retirement plan or IRA.
  • Lifetime arrangements such as Charitable Gift Annuities, Charitable Remainder Trusts, Remainder Interest in Residence or Second Home, and Transfer on Death Accounts.

The recommended minimum gift is $10 per day per pet for the remaining life expectancy of the pet(s). For example, you have one ten year old cat and one seven year old dog you would like to enroll in WarmFuzzy’s Surviving Pet Care program. You expect the cat to live to be twenty years old or more and the dog to live to be fifteen years old.

$10 x 365 days = $3,650 per year x 10 years = $36,500 for the cat

$10 x 365 days = $3,650 per year x 8 years = $29,200 for the dog

The total recommended minimum planned gift to enroll the dog and cat in the Surviving Pet Care program would be $65,700 payable upon your death at which time we will take in your pets.

If you become disabled or you can no longer care for your beloved pets because you are moving into an assisted care facility or nursing home, we will take in your pets and care for them as though they were our own children, for a monthly fee. We will provide regular updates on their well-being and if possible, we will even bring them to visit you regularly. You will have the peace of mind knowing that your fur family is being cared for in the most loving manner imaginable.

For additional information or to enroll your pet(s) in the Surviving Pet Care program contact Joyce Ellis, WarmFuzzy’s Sanctuary Director at [email protected] or (660) 267-3600 for an enrollment form.

This is Buddy. He came to us when his Mom was admitted to the Alzheimer’s ward in a nursing home. When he arrived, he was Heartworm positive and underwent treatment. Today, Buddy is healthy, happy, and spoiled in the manner to which he deserves. We love him dearly and although his previous Mom may not be fully cognizant of his presence and disposition, we believe that deep down inside she is still grateful that her Buddy is being loved and cared for. Her family is also aware of his well-being and receives regular updates.

We greatly appreciate your support.

The work that we do at WarmFuzzy's is possible because of gifts and donations from people like you. Thank you for all that you do for us so that we can continue to help those who cannot help themselves.
